Hi, Iā€™m Josh.

Director, LCSW

Josh Rose was awarded a presidential scholarship to Harvard University, and was graduated with an M.S.W. from the University of Southern California, and a B.A from the University of Michigan. He studied systems theory and Structural Family Therapy under the past president of the Minuchin Center for the Family, George Simon, LMFT. Josh has completed an externship in trauma under Bessel van der Kolk, MD, been certified in two evidence-based child behavior treatment modalities (BSFT and MDFT), and studied EMDR, as well as Internal Family Systems. He has served as Executive Director of a Richmond, CA-based clinic focused on immigrant counseling, and served as Associate Director to the largest outpatient family therapy training center in the Bay Area. Josh is currently consulting to a cutting-edge research project looking at the effects of Internal Family Systems on chronic shame. He is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Hola, soy Maria.

Program Coordinator, MSW

Maria Suazo was born and raised in Honduras and has experienced personal and societal hardships firsthand, which she credits for deeply informing her work in the community. She obtained her clinical social work degree from Cal State University ā€“ Hayward, and completed a rigorous three-year internship program under renowned family therapist, Bart Rubin, PhD. Maria has studied EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Multidimensional Family Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. She has served for many years as a case manager with the most prominent foster service program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Maria is bilingual in Spanish and English.
